Central Bucks Communities Coming Together For National Night Out
National Night Out is designed to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while spotlighting the community.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA - National Night Out is coming to Central Bucks County on Tuesday with free, family fun events in Doylestown Township, Buckingham Township and Solebury Township.
National Night Out is designed to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while spotlighting the community. It also provides an opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Solebury Township
In New Hope-Solebury, the Solebury Township Police will be joining Solebury Township Parks & Recreation and the New Hope Eagle Fire Company for another night of free fun on Tuesday, August 1 from 6 to 8:30 pm at Laurel Fields, 6646 Laurel Road, New Hope.

The evening includes dinner, dessert, and fun activities and offers an opportunity to visit with the local police officers and firefighters and to view vehicles and equipment.
Everyone’s favorite K9 will also be dropping by.

New to this year’s National Night Out will be a human billiards challenge featuring soccer balls as billiard balls. Rumor on the street is that Corporal Marascio is quite the pool shark ... so watch out.
Doylestown Township
Doylestown Township will host National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1 from 4-8 p.m. at Central Park, 425 Wells Road, Doylestown.
As in years past, visitors are invited to meet and greet emergency responders from the greater Doylestown area including Central Bucks Regional (Doylestown Borough, Chalfont Borough and New Britain Borough), Warrington, Plumstead, and New Britain Township.
A Temple Med Flight helicopter is scheduled to land at about 4:30 and be on display throughout the evening. There will also be music, food, ice cream, and live demonstrations.
Serving hot dogs at last year's event are Doylestown Township Supervisors Dan Wood and Barbara Lyons.

Buckingham Township
In Buckingham, the police department will hold its second annual National Night Out event hosted by Peddler's Village on Tuesday, August 1 from 6 to 8 pm at 139 Peddler’s Village .
The free, family-friendly event will be fun for both adults and children, said organizers. Join the police in building stronger relationships between law enforcement and neighbors.
The evening will feature a K-9 demonstration, a bounce house, speed board racing, beer goggles, a giant sandbox, sand sculptures, a DJ, hot dogs, pulled pork, popcorn, sodas, and water. Food and drinks are free.
And stick around after the event for an outdoor movie night. Featured will “The Super Mario Brothers Movie.”
From 6-8 p.m., there will also be pay-as-you-go food trucks.
The event will be held rain or shine.
