Central Bucks High Schools Rank Among Pennsylvania's Best For Sports

All three of the district's high schools have made Niche's top 100 list for best schools for sports.

DOYLESTOWN, PA —The Central Bucks School District's three high schools rank among the best in the state for high school sports.

According to a new ranking by Niche, known for its annual lists comparing school districts based on academics, the district's three high schools are among the 100 best schools in Pennsylvania for sports. The 2026 rankings cover 867 Pennsylvania high schools.

The Niche rankings are based on several factors, including the number of sports offered, the number of students participating in sports, and the school's enrollment in grades 9 through 12.

Ranked among the Top 10 Schools for Sports in PA are:

  • La Salle College High School, Wyndmoor, overall A+, sports A+, 19 sports
  • North Allegheny High School, Wexford, overall A+, sports A+, 30 sports
  • St. Joseph's Preparatory School, Philadelphia, overall A+, sports A+, 20 sports
  • Central Catholic High School, Pittsburgh, overall A+, sports A+, 19 sports
  • Neumann Goretti High School, Philadelphia, overall B+, sports A
  • Cathedral Preparatory School, Erie, overall A-, sports A, 13 sports
