Central Bucks Police Report An Increase In Cell Phone Delivery Thefts

Police make the following recommendations to avoid becoming a victim of theft.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — With increased cell phone delivery thefts, the Central Bucks Regional Police Department recommends that customers consider purchasing their phones at a store or with a signature required upon delivery.

Recently, local police departments, including the Central Bucks Regional Police Department,
have had residents report the theft of a cell phone delivered by FedEx. The common factors seem to be phones purchased through AT&T and delivered by FedEx, police said.

"We highly recommend that you purchase cellular phones at a store or request that they be signed for upon delivery if they are to be shipped to your home," police said.
