Central Bucks Regional Police Make Arrests For DUI, Other Offenses

Police also make arrests for burglary, trespassing, a weapons violation and ordinance violations.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department made the following arrests during the month of January:

  • Trespassing, January 2, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A 28 year old Furlong man was arrested on a trespassing charge. He was prohibited from the property and was told by the property owner and police not to return.
  • DUI, January 7, E. Court Street, Doylestown Borough. Vincent Loffredo Jr., 22, of Doylestown, was arrested on the above charge after police responded to a traffic accident where the vehicle had struck a parked car and was blocking the roadway. Loffredo fled the scene, was located a few blocks away and presented with an unsteady gate, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Loffredo was taken into custody, processed and released.
  • Disorderly Conduct/Public Drunkenness, January 7, S. Hamilton Street, Doylestown Borough. A 22 year old Doylestown man was charged after police responded to a fight in progress. The victims and a witness stated that the man approached four men in a parking lot and swung at one of them without being provoked. The man had a strong odor of alcohol and EMS was called to evaluate him before transporting him to the hospital. Citations were issued.
  • Disorderly Conduct, January 8, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A 22 year old Chalfont man was cited for public urination. A citation was issued.
  • Ordinance Violation, January 11, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A 19 year old Doylestown man was cited after a traffic stop resulted in police finding the driver in possession of marijuana. A citation was issued.
  • DUI, January 15, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. Naqeeb Ansari, 28, of Perkasie, was arrested after a traffic stop for driving with no headlights. Ansari presented with a strong odor of alcohol, bloodshot eyes and an unsteady gate when asked to exit his vehicle. After failed field sobriety tests, Ansari was taken into custody and transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw.
  • Burglary, January 15, W. State Street, Doylestown Borough. Jean Carolos Ortega-Garrido, 23, no fixed abode, was arrested after an officer responded to an activated alarm at Ventresca’s Tailoring at approximately 1:30 a.m. Upon police arrival, a partially dressed Ortega-Garrido was taken into custody. Ortega-Garrido gained forced entry through the front door causing damage. Clothing was scattered throughout the store with Ortega-Garrido’s clothing found in a fitting room. Other damage included broken ceiling tiles and metal bracket that held merchandise in place. Ortega-Garrido was arraigned, bail set at $25,000 secured and he was remanded to Bucks County Prison.
  • Weapons Violation, January 17, E. Butler Avenue, Chalfont Borough. A 26 year old Philadelphia man was arrested after he attempted to purchase a firearm in September 2022 at Bunker Gun Shop II, 143 E. Butler Avenue, Chalfont, and falsified the documents that he submitted. He was arraigned and bail set at $25,000 unsecured, with conditions.
  • Ordinance Violation, January 18, Union Street, Doylestown Borough. A 39 year old Hatfield man was charged after a traffic stop. The man was found to be in possession of marijuana.
  • Liquor Law Violations, January 21, W. Ashland Street, Doylestown Borough. A 19 year old Pipersville man and a 19 year old Pipersville female were cited for underage drinking after police responded to a call for assistance.
  • DUI, January 24, W. Butler Avenue, Chalfont Borough. Christopher Mitchell, 49, of Shickshinny, was charged after a traffic stop where he presented with bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and an unsteady gate. Following failed field sobriety tests, Mitchell was taken to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw. He was processed, arraigned, bail set at 10 percent of $10,000 and remanded to Bucks County Prison.
  • Ordinance Violation, January 2, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A 27 year old woman from Pipersville was cited after a traffic stop for driving with no lights. During the traffic stop she was found in possession of marijuana.
  • Ordinance Violation, January 29, W. State Street, Doylestown Borough. A 22 year old Doylestown woman was arrested after a traffic stop for an expired registration. The officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and she was found to be in possession of marijuana.
