The school’s football season was cancelled last month as law enforcement officials launched an investigation into allegations of hazing that happened at a team picnic in August.

Superintendent David Weitzel made the announcement to cancel the season just one day before the much-anticipated homecoming game against Central Bucks East. The decision prompted frustration from players and parents, who said the administration rushed to judgment when it cancelled the season.

However, in its most recent statement, the district said “the vast majority” of calls the superintendent has received are in support of the decision.

“I will do my best to help CB West and the Central Bucks School Community move past this unfortunate incident,” Weitzel said.
