Hilltown Township Police: Chalfont Man Killed In Crash

HILLTOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Chalfont man was killed Wednesday night in a traffic accident on Route 309 near Reliance Road in Hilltown Township.

Investigating officers arrived around 10 p.m. to find a single vehicle crash involving a Toyota Camry that had struck a guardrail. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as Roland J. Christy III, 52, of Chalfont.

Hilltown Police were assisted at the scene by Grand View EMS, Perseverance Volunteer Fire Company, Telford Volunteer Fire Company, and the Bucks County Coroner’s Office.

Speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash, police said.

The accident remains under investigation.
