Chilean Nationals Face Charges In Distraction Theft In Plumstead
The suspects are awaiting extradition to Bucks County after being arrested in South Hackensack, New Jersey.
PLUMSTEADVILLE, PA — Four Chilean nationals are facing charges in connection with a distraction theft at the Marshalls and HomeGoods store at the Cross Keys Place Shopping Center.
On August 22, police said Juan Aravena-Aguirre, Priscila Christiansen, Byron Contreras-Fuentes, Jaime Molina Olea and Cristobal Yanezdupuy worked in unison to distract a customer while they stole her wallet.
Police said the suspects immediately started using the victim's credit cards, attempting to make online purchases in the amount of $1,700 and then at the Warrington Walmart for another $1,000.

With the assistance of store video surveillance, license plate recognition, cameras, and facial recognition, the suspects were identified and arrest warrants were issued, police said.
On Sept. 1, the suspects were taken into custody without incident by the South Hackensack, New Jersey Police Department and transported to the Bergen County, New Jersey, Prison where they are awaiting extradition to Bucks County.

They are each being charged with theft, receiving stolen property, identity theft, and access device fraud, all felonies of the third degree.
