Clover To Headline Picnics On Pine Block Party In Doylestown
The block-long stretch of Pine Street between Oakland and Taylor Avenue will welcome live music from CLOVER and Funkacola.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Picnics On Pine returns to Doylestown Borough on Saturday, October 14 for its final event of the season.
The block-long stretch of Pine Street between Oakland and Taylor Avenue will welcome all ages (and their picnic blankets) to enjoy exciting, regionally renowned live music from CLOVER and Funkacola and local food by The Speckled Egg Cafe.
"The fall is my favorite time of year to present the picnics," says series creator and lifelong Doylestown resident Joe Montone. "It's a perfect environment for cozying up, enjoying live music, and there is always an amazing sunset just before the headliner goes on."

This month's headliner is Lambertville, New Jersey native CLOVER (Clover Stieve). She will be celebrating her brand new single, 'Spooky' as part of her picnic performance.
The inspired lyrics convey a personal reflection on her eccentric upbringing in light of a personal tragedy. Earlier this year, both of her parents unexpectedly passed away within two months of each other. Clover confidently relays a message of being unstoppable over a just as grooving beat - this is a message for herself and all women.

"It feels like the perfect song to release after their passing because it paints a whimsical picture of our life and highlights my favorite things about how I was raised," Clover says in a personal statement on her Instagram. Her parents celebrated Clover's creativity every single day and always provided encouragement for her to live out her dreams.
Doylestown's own Funkacola kick-off the festivities. Their funk and jazz sound is delivered by Central Bucks high schoolers. Lead singer Harriett Moos and guitarist Shane Devitt are also students at the Doylestown School Of Rock with alumni Cole Reed on bass.

Simply put, the music featured at Picnics On Pine is what Montone calls picnic music.
"We strive to create an atmosphere that is so refreshing and fun for the whole town," says Montone. "This is achieved through a pairing of great food and captivating performances. Something we all need more of."
The Speckled Egg Cafe chef team of Tony Artur and Megan Loos will be featured at the picnic. They are considered one of our area's best-kept foodie secrets located at Rice's Market in Buckingham.
"Megan and I are so excited to be a part of Picnics On Pine this year! We will be serving our Muffuletta Hot Dogs and Bent Spoon ice cream - and we absolutely can’t wait to see Clover live," says Tony. The muffuletta hot dog, a popular item at the cafe, is topped with mortadella, provolone, olive tapenade, pepperoncini, and cherry peppers.
For the last three years, the parking lot of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church - home of Picnics On Pine - has been kindly donated by the Reverend Daniel Moore, his clergy, staff, and parishioners to become a pop-up neighborhood amphitheater. This picnic is produced in part by area sponsors Delaware Valley University School Of Graduate and Professional Studies, McMillan Music, Quire, and Trinity Rehab. Montone attributes the growth of the 2023 picnics to efforts made by newly appointed Sponsorship Coordinator, Nicole Mount.
