‘Code Blue’ Declaration Issued By Bucks County For Holiday Weekend

Shelters to open Friday evening in Lower, Central and Upper Bucks County.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Bucks County has declared a Code Blue through Wednesday morning as extreme cold settles in for the holiday weekend and early next week.

Shelters in Upper, Central and Lower Bucks are set to open at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23.

The county issues a “Code Blue” declaration when temperatures are forecast to drop below 20 degrees for two or more consecutive days. A “Code Blue” may be called amid higher temperatures, as consideration is also given to wind chill, precipitation and other circumstances.
