Cold Spring Teacher Recognized For Aiding Choking Student
In other action at this month's meeting, the school board approved the date for graduation and appointed a new school board solicitor.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Katie Cuerou, a fourth-grade teacher at Cold Spring Elementary School in Buckingham, was publicly recognized this week by the Central Bucks School District.
Superintendent Dr. Steven Yanni said Cuerou came to the aid of a student who was choking during snack time, administered the Heimlich Maneuver, and did "everything she could" to make sure the student was okay.
"Often, when people think about teachers, they think of their role in classrooms teaching students," said the superintendent. "Katie’s potentially life-saving act reminds everyone that teachers, and all other adults in our schools, take on all facets related to caring for young people. This responsibility is enormous and can be quite literally life-changing."
