DOYLESTOWN, PA — Three Doylestown neighbors, whose nonprofit missions also hit close to home, will host "Band Together For A Cause" at Puck Live on Saturday, June 15.

Heather Reynolds and Shana Trichon of the Stand Up For Justice Educator Fund and Joe Montone of Stage United are joining forces with three local bands to make a difference in the Central Bucks education system as well as the live music landscape.

At the root of their initiatives, Stage United and Stand Up For Justice Educator Fund both develop resources to enhance the Bucks County community. Stage United provides greater access to live music in the region while Stand Up For Justice recognizes Central Bucks School District educators who promote understanding and respect among students, countering bigotry and bullying.

"As a team, we wanted to transcend the normal fundraising event by demonstrating the intersectionality of local music and local education," said co-organizer Joe Montone. "Each artist performing has a strong connection to each other through CBSD."

"Pajammies" will kick off the festivities with their funk and (literally) jam-y sounds. The band formed in the music production room at Central Bucks East in 2023 through the newly-formed Lunch and Learn Program.

Pajammies will kick off the evening with its funk and (literally) jam-y sounds.

"I don't know if we expected Pajammies to become what it is today," said bassist Ryan Schwartz. "We were just following our passions and got to jam together for an hour each day on our lunch breaks." The group is comprised of current students and returning CB East alumni from college music programs around the country.

Next to perform will be "Dtown Outliers" whose guitarist and vocalist Steve Bercik and bassist Keith Sinn both teach at Central Bucks East. Their set will feature feel good classic covers and originals like their latest single, "Bonfire," released on streaming platforms everywhere in May.

The night is helmed by Class Act - a renowned seven-piece super group of Central Bucks School District educators. With an extensive catalog of pop and rock anthems, Class Act is an elite choice among wedding crowds and public venues across the tri-state region.

Now in its second year, Stand Up For Justice Educator Fund will be recognizing and awarding five local educators at the event.

"We continue to honor outstanding dedication and innovation in our CBSD educators," says Shana Trichon. "We reward those who are doing impactful work in their activities with students that combat bigotry and bullying while promoting kindness, empathy and respect for one another. We cannot wait to share this year’s winners and all they’ve accomplished!”

"Band Together For A Cause" is also a way to highlight the wider community who supports these two causes. Local businesses have joined the fundraising efforts through various prize giveaways categorized into themed baskets such as 'Date Night' and 'Summertime Fun'.

"Between the celebration of our incredible CB educators and vibrant performances by local bands, the spirit of collaboration will undoubtedly shine bright,” says co-organizer Heather Reynolds. "And being able to host the event at Puck, an amazing local venue, elevates the event with its unique charm, making this a truly unforgettable night."

With the 2024 school year ending just one day before showtime, "Band Together For A Cause" will double as a "school's-out-celebration" for each performer.
