Country Place Owners Put Restaurant On The Market In East Rockhill

EAST ROCKHILL TOWNSHIP, PA — The owners of the Country Place Restaurant and Bar, a popular local dining spot at Routes 313 and 563 north of Doylestown, have listed the property for sale.

But the owners are reassuring their long time patrons that for now no decisions have been made regarding the restaurant’s future and that business continues as usual.

“We want to assure everyone that the Country Place is still open for business. While we do have the business listed for sale, we are just testing the waters and weighing our options at this point,” they wrote of their Facebook page. “We appreciate all our loyal customers and friends and will continue to see you in the future.”

The social media posting drew more than 100 comments, including one patron who wrote, “I hope you continue to do business, as my family and I love going there. The communities need you as many people can't afford the prices other establishments charge just for a chance to go out and enjoy life a little.”

Another wrote, “Love the Country Place ... best little local hangout … keeping prices low by only taking cash. Here’s hoping it stays in the family or goes to someone who will keep the charm, character and yummy food we've all come to love.”

In response, Country Place wrote, “We appreciate all the positive comments! Keeping it in the family is still on the table. We haven't made any final decisions yet, and we're pursuing all options. If you all keep coming out and supporting us, we may just stick around. Either way, we'll keep you all posted. Thank you all again for your loyalty and patronage! It means a lot.”

The property has been listed for $3.39 million, including the nearly 7,000 square foot restaurant built in 1960. The listing includes two tax parcels containing the well known Country Place Restaurant and Bar plus a corner repair shop and garage.

Country Place has been a family owned and operated restaurant and bar for 50 years. Located in East Rockhill Township, its menu features everything from delicious sandwiches and wraps to mouthwatering steaks, seafood and pasta. It has become a local favorite over the years known for its fresh quality food, offered at prices that are hard to match.
