County Theater To Purchase Poor Richards For Expansion

The theater said it will use the additional space to add a third auditorium, a community meeting space and an expanded lobby.

The County Theater Board will purchase the adjacent Poor Richards property for an expansion, the Board of Directors announced this week.

“The theater plans primarily to use this property to add a third auditorium, a community meeting space, and an expanded lobby. This expansion of the County Theater will be an ideal use of the property, which will benefit our patrons, local businesses, Doylestown Borough, and the surrounding area,” a letter to members said.

The agreement to purchase the property comes after six months of planning.
