Credit Card Fraud, Domestic Disturbance Reported In Plumstead

During a traffic stop, police issued three traffic citations to a driver for not having the proper paperwork.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents between Nov. 5 and 10:

November 5

  • A resident came to the police station to report an incident of fraud. The resident told police that an unknown individual attempted to use his credit card to send more than $9,000 overseas. The transaction was stopped and the bank issued him a new card. The officer provided the resident with a Victims' Rights packet.
  • Officers conducting a traffic detail on Easton Road observed a vehicle with a fraudulent temporary paper registration plate. During a traffic stop, the driver was unable to produce any vehicle paperwork or a driver's license. Officers determined that the driver did not have a valid driver's license and the vehicle had fraudulent inspection stickers. The driver was issued three traffic citations.

  • Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Easton Road. The complainant told police that after arriving home his friend began yelling at him. The friend had left before the officers arrived. After speaking with the complainant, the friend returned and officers were able to speak with both parties. They confirmed that the dispute was verbal only and did not turn physical. Officers advised both parties to remain separated for the night.
