Crews Fight Garbage Truck Fire In Doylestown
Let this serve as an important reminder to never dispose of hot coals or ash into your trash can.

Crews are currently on the scene of a trash truck fire at Turk Park in Doylestown Township.
According to Doylestown Township Police, the trash truck operator reported heavy smoke was coming from the bed of the truck on Tuesday morning. Trash in the truck had to be dumped to ensure that the fire was extinguished properly, police said.
"The fire department and the trash disposal company will be on scene for an extended period of time ensuring that the area is properly cleaned and made safe," police said.

Police say the fire was likely caused by hot coals or embers discarded into a crash can after the weekend.
