Defiant Behavior Ends In Arrest At School Basketball Game In Warrington

Police said a student who had been barred from attending school sporting events showed up at a basketball game and refused to leave.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — An 18-year-old student is facing charges after refusing to leave a basketball game at Central Bucks High School South.

On Feb. 25, Warrington Township Police Officers assigned to a basketball game at South were notified by school employees that an 18-year-old boy who had been barred from attending school sporting events was seen at the game.

Police said the teenager was observed attempting to conceal his identity by wearing his hoodie tightly drawn around his face.

When approached by school security and asked to leave, the teenager responded, “Make them come and get me.” An officer then approached the man, who stated, “Don’t touch me and I’ll go, but don’t touch me,” while clapping loudly in an apparent effort to draw attention and incite other students.

As the officer escorted him toward the exit, the teen abruptly turned and began walking further into the building. He remained belligerent and dismissive throughout the encounter, police said.

Police placed the teenager under arrest for trespassing and transported him to the police station. Once at the station, officers located a fake identification card in his possession. He was processed, charged with trespassing and false identification, and released.

A few days earlier, on Feb. 17, an officer assigned to Central Bucks South was requested by school administration to speak with the 18-year-old regarding his prohibition from attending school sporting events.

When approached, police said the teen was dismissive and told the officer, “I don’t have time for you today,” repeatedly interrupting and telling the officer to “shut up.” He became loud and caused a disturbance in the presence of others. As a result, police said he was cited for disorderly conduct.
