Delaware Valley University Earns Military Friendly School Distinction

The school garnered silver status in recognition of leading practices, outcomes and programs for members of the military and veterans.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Delaware Valley University has earned the 2024-25 Military Friendly School designation from The Military Friendly Schools Survey, a review of college and university investments serving military, veteran and veteran dependents students.

According to the survey, the school earned silver status "in recognition of leading practices, outcomes and effective programs" for members of the military and veterans enrolled at the university.

In September 2013, DelVal opened the Janet Manion Military and Veterans Center. Located on main campus, the center provides a relaxed meeting place for veteran students and military members. It boasts a study area with quiet spaces and computers and hosts the office for the director of Military and Veterans Affair, Joseph Grato, who is dedicated to mentoring and supporting all current and prospective military students.

"The silver status is a testament to our dedication to provide personalized assistance and resources, such as the Janet Manion Military and Veterans Center, to our students. Supporting DelVal's military, veterans, and veteran dependents students in their educational journey is an important factor to their success at our University."

Institutions earning the Military Friendly School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2024-2025 survey with 537 earning special awards for going above the standard.
