DelVal Named On Princeton Review's "Best in the Northeast" List

Delaware Valley University has been named one of the best schools in the Northeast by The Princeton Review for the 9th consecutive year.

Doylestown's Delaware Valley University has been named one of the best schools in the Northeast by The Princeton Review for the ninth consecutive year.

The tutoring, test prep, and college admission services company lists DelVal among its "Best in the Northeast" recommended schools in its "2019 Best Colleges: Region by Region" feature. It was one of 225 schools in the Northeast to make the list.

Schools are selected based on factors such as academic excellence and student satisfaction.

"We chose Delaware Valley University and the other outstanding institutions on this list primarily for their excellent academics," said Princeton Review Editor-in-Chief Robert Franek.

The Princeton Review "also gave careful consideration” to feedback from student surveys. "We designed our 80-question survey to include questions that prospective applicants might ask on a campus visit," he said.

The Princeton Review survey asks students to rate their schools on several issues –from the accessibility of their professors to the quality of their science lab facilities – and answer questions about themselves, their fellow students, and their campus life. Comments from surveyed students are quoted in the school profiles on The Princeton Review site.

“Only schools that permit us to independently survey their students are eligible to be considered for our regional 'best' lists, and only schools at which we see a strong level of satisfaction among their enrolled students make it to our final slate of regional 'best' college selections," Franek said.

University officials said they are honored to be consistently recognized by The Princeton Review.

In a statement, DelVal President Dr. Maria Gallo said, "student success is our top priority at DelVal. Our students learn in small classes where professors know them by name. Our innovative experiential learning program, E360, provides our students with personalized, practical, real-world experiences that propel them to success.”
