Det Ansinn Reelected As Borough Council President

Ansinn has served as Doylestown Borough Council president since 2008.

Doylestown, PA - Det Ansinn was reelected as president of the Doylestown Borough Council during a reorganization meeting Monday.

The meeting was eight minutes long, the Intelligencer reported.

According to his bio, Ansinn and his wife both grew up in Doylestown Borough and are now raising their three children here. He graduated from Central Bucks West and Drexel University.

He was first elected to Borough Council in 2005 and has been president since 2008.

“Det Ansinn has started several successful technology companies and created good-paying local jobs. Det founded BrickSimple LLC, a mobile app development firm located right in downtown Doylestown. As a business owner, Det has been an active advocate for small businesses and technology policy. From his work with startups to participation at the White House Business Council, Det approaches business and job creation from the perspective of a progressive innovator. In the media, Det has provided technology business analysis and commentary for Bloomberg Television, BusinessWeek, and Talking Points Memo,” his bio says.

He was recently elected President of the Bucks County Borough’s Association. He also serves as a member of the Bucks County Open Space Review Board and is past President of the Bucks County Free Library system. In 2012, Ansinn was a convention delegate for Pennsylvania’s 8th congressional district. He is also an active member with the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce.
