Disorderly Crowd, DUI Arrest, Fraud Reports: Plumstead Police Report
Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between July 24 and July 28.
PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between July 24 and July 28:
July 24
- At 2:30 p.m., officers responded to Landisville Road for a theft report. The resident told police that he received notification that a package he ordered was delivered but when he arrived home the package was not there. The resident filed a claim with AT&T and was refunded for his loss.
July 25

- At 1:14 p.m., a resident came to the station to file a report. The resident told an officer that he was receiving EZpass payment invoices on vehicles that do not belong to him. The resident was informed to send the notices back to PennDOT as “return to sender."
July 26
- At 10:30 a.m., a Plumstead resident stopped at the station to file a fraud report. The resident told police that she was locked out of her Facebook page for a couple of weeks and found what she thought was a number for Facebook. The unknown actors had her download an app that took control of her phone and were able to gain access to her personal information. The resident told police that they withdrew $1,000 from her account before she realized it was a scam. The officer provided the resident with an identity theft packet and a victim's rights packet.
July 27

- At 2:21 p.m., officers were in the area of Easton Road for a traffic accident. While officers were talking to one of the drivers of the vehicle, they noticed that she had slurred speech and blood shot eyes. The officer asked her to perform a field sobriety test which she was unable to perform successfully. Officers arrested the 34-year-old woman from Southampton for driving under the influence. Charges are pending the blood alcohol results.
July 28
- At 6:28 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Easton Road for a disturbance. When the officers arrived, they learned that the argument was between family members. The complainant stated that there was a verbal argument that turned physical but no injuries. Officers were able to have all the parties calm down and the group said that they would be leaving shortly. All officers cleared without further incident.
- At 8:12 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Easton Road for a disorderly conduct report. When the officer arrived, he recognized the people from earlier in the day. One individual from the group approached the officer and informed him that he was trying to hold his sister back so she wouldn’t harm anyone. The officer was able to control the woman and separate her from the group. Due to the large number of individuals involved, officers requested backup from surrounding departments. Once the crowd was under control, the officers could identify all parties involved. Officers issued a non-traffic citation to a 21-year-old woman from Orange Park, Florida, for disorderly conduct. She was picked up by a co-worker and driven back to the hotel where they were staying.
