Argument Turns Violent As Man Rips Door Off Hinges In Warrington: Police

The 23-year-old man was arrested by Warrington Township Police and charged with simple assault and harassment.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A 23-year-old is facing charges after a domestic dispute turned violent in Warrington.

On Saturday, Warrington Police responded to Basswood Court for a domestic disturbance. The victim told police that an argument had turned into a physical altercation.

Police said after the man took the victim’s cellphone to prevent them from calling police, he broke a bedroom door off its hinges as the victim attempted to get away. The victim also reported being grabbed, spit on, having a beer poured over their head, and their clothing ripped, police said.

Officers observed damage inside the home, as well as fresh bruises on the victim.

The man was placed under arrest, charged with simple assault and harassment and transported to the station where he was processed.

He was arraigned by Judge Marriott who set bail at $25,000 unsecured bail and he was advised not to have any contact with the victim.
