'DogVenture' Brings Canine Fun And Fitness To New Britain
The retail store and gymnasium will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday at the Town Center of New Britain.

NEW BRITAIN BOROUGH, PA — DogVenture will celebrate the grand opening of its second store and dog gymnasium on Saturday, March 2 at the Town Center of New Britain on West Butler Avenue.
The new store is owned and operated by Mary Kaye and Matt Bruce, long time customers and fans of DogVenture (formerly Cool Dog Gear) at the Shops at Valley Square in Warrington, which is owned by Jeff and Nicole Mueller.
"We liked it so much that we decided to partner in," said Mary Kaye. "We saw all the good things that happened with our dogs over the years that we wanted to help bring it to other people."

Throughout the day, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., dog owners and lovers are invited to check out the new store and gymnasium.
Special guests include Art by Randi K, who will be there doing live pet paintings, and Lina Chero, a live animal healer and communicator who will be holding mini-reading and healing sessions. The cost per session is $30 each with half of the proceeds benefiting WAGS.
Chero not only communicates between pets and owners, but also reaches out to pets that have crossed over bringing back messages to their owners.
"When she did a session with one of our dogs, she knew what his favorite treat was when we never mentioned it," said Bruce.
In addition to carrying an extensive selection of dog supplies, including food, treats and toys, DogVenture offers grooming sessions, a self-wash service, and a dog gymnasium.
"We believe in everything we sell," said Bruce. "There is nothing in this store that we would not give to our own dogs."

The newest DogVenture is located in the Town Center of New Britain on West Butler Avenue.
A big part of the new store is its dog gym, where employees work with owners and their dogs on "building better bonds through fun and fitness," which is the store's signature tagline.
"We have an agility course with tunnels, jumps and weaves. We also have yoga balls and Fitpaws equipment," said Bruce. "At the gym, the dogs will build confidence, let out energy plus it's fun for the dogs and people, too."
DogVenture also hosts meet and greets with local rescue groups and organizations and its gym is available for private parties.
"We are all about building better bonds with your dogs through fun and fitness," said Bruce, who encourages all dog lovers and owners to stop by on Saturday for the grand opening celebration and to check out the new store.
