Doylestown Borough To Show Its Pride With Saturday Block Party

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Doylestown will be showing its pride on Saturday, July 1 during a Pride Fest Block Party from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on East State Street between Pine and Main streets.

The free event, postponed from June 22 by the threat of rain, will feature music, food, and more than 28 vendors, including a mix of businesses, services, and nonprofits.

The day will begin with the dedication of a Pride Progress Flag Crosswalk on Printer’s Alley and East State Street. The crosswalk was painted on the street earlier this year by the borough at the request of Pride Festival organizers.

Throughout the day, attendees are invited to leisurely stroll down the street, which will be closed to traffic, where they will find close to 30 vendors promoting their businesses and organizations.

Entertainment throughout the day include DJ Maggie May from 11:05 to 11:55 a.m., a drag performance from 12:20 to 12:35 p.m., Jenny Lee Stern from 1:05 to 1:35 p.m., DJ Maggie May from 1:35 to 1:55 pm, a surprise performance from 2 to 2:05 pm, DJ Maggie May from 2:05 to 2:30 pm, a drag performance from 2:35 to 2:50 p.m., Dina Hall from 3 to 4 p.m., and DJ Maggie May from 4:05 to 5 p.m.

The lineup of vendors includes State Rep. Tim Brennan and State Senator Steve Santarsiero, BC Cares, PFLAG Bucks County, NAACP, Rainbow Room, ROYGBIV Flags, Bubble Braid Boutique, The Yoga Gnome LLC, Visit Bucks County, Michener Art Museum, A Woman's Place, NOVA, Trans Minors Rights, Bucks LGBTQ Center, Made in Morrisville, KidsPeace, Delaware Valley University, Coexist Pride Faith Group, CBSD Neighbors United, Human Rights Campaign, Gorgeous Hooks Crochet, Restore, School of Rock, Triton Soaps, Monkeys Uncle and Renewal By Anderson.
