Doylestown Borough Swears In New Junior Councilman

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Doylestown Borough Council this week welcomed Jack Swartley as the borough's newest junior councilperson for 2023-24.

Swartley, who has served the past two years as a student member of the Historical and Architectural Review Board, was sworn in by former Mayor Ron Strouse at the Sept. 18 council meeting.

Swartley is a senior at Central Bucks High School West where he is a member of the National Honors Society and the CB West Variety Golf Team.

He is a member of the Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick's Student Task Force, he volunteers at the Bucks County Housing Group and he's a server at the Pine Run Retirement Community

Swartley plans to study political science in college.

He has an older sister, Miisa (26), and a younger brother, Sam (15). He enjoys golfing, mountain biking, and watching the Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers.
