Doylestown Borough Water Dept. Flushing Hydrants, Testing Flows

The annual flushing and testing on Thursday and Friday could result in discolored water and a short term drop in water pressure.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Doylestown Borough Water Department will be preforming flow testing and hydrant flushing on Thursday and Friday, August 29 and 30.

Residents may experience sudden and short-term drops in water pressure.

In addition, sometimes when fire hydrants are flushed, sediment sitting in the water mains and/or the air has the potential to get stirred up. This can result in discolored water running out of the taps. "Most of the time, this is easily fixed by letting your faucet run for a few minutes." said water company officials.
