There are more than 50 million victims of human trafficking worldwide; and this exploitative practice, both sexual and labor, happens everyday in Bucks County, said the Rotarians.
More than 90 percent of sexually-exploited victims are female, often from marginalized groups. Considered modern day slavery, victims remain stuck in this dreadful situation due to threats against their lives, creating a cycle of hopelessness and despair and a feeling they cannot speak up.
