Doylestown Eagle Scout Serves As Guest Page In Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, PA —Ryan Burger, Doylestown's newest Eagle Scout, had the honor of serving as a guest page this week on the floor of the House of Representatives in Harrisburg. His dad is Doylestown Borough's longtime assistant parks director, Dave Burger.

The honor was arranged by State Rep. Tim Brennan who was unable to attend Burger's Eagle Scout Court of Honor in December.

Ryan and his father were met by Sen. Steve Santarsiero and PA State Rep. Shelby Labs who had kind words for the young man. The family also had a nice conversation with the Speaker of the PA State House Joanna McClinton.

Ryan is a student at the Bucks County Community College and this fall will be attending the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport where he will study aviation maintenance technology.

Ryan followed in his family's footsteps, completing his Eagle Scout project at the Doylestown Borough Dam where his father and uncle organized and carried out their Eagle projects.
