Doylestown Farmers Market 2020 Season New Opening Day is May 2
Doylestown Farmers Market will be opening for the season on May 2nd with a COVID-19 Mitigation Plan in place.

The Doylestown Farmers Market is pleased to announce that our new opening day will be May 2nd. Due to the state and local Coronavirus restrictions in place, the market will operate its May 2nd and May 9th markets using a Coronavirus Mitigation Plan for Vendors and Customers, a plan approved by the Doylestown Borough.
The market’s Coronavirus Mitigation Plan asks customers for their cooperation to make this plan work well for everyone’s health and safety. We are asking our customers to do the following:
- Please leave your wonderful dogs at home during this time in order to prevent gathering, maintain social distancing and expedite your safe trip through the market. The May 2nd and May 9th markets are for food vendors only.
- Please pre-order and pre-pay for as much as possible from our vendors. A list of vendor contact information will be published on our Facebook and Instagram accounts as well as our newsletter and website the week before each market (www.bucksfoodshed.org/dfm ).
- Customers are kindly asked not to touch produce and products. Vendor staff will bag your items or place them on a table for you to bag yourself. This is to stop cross contamination.
- We ask that one person per household come to the market during this period of time in order to help limit everyone’s exposure and increase your ability to comfortably practice social distancing.
- We will be attempting to keep a safe number of customers in the market at any given time and will create one exit and one entrance to the market. We ask your cooperation in heeding this entrance and exit point which will be near the parking lot entrance on the West State Street end of the market.
- For everyone’s safety, we ask your help in staggering the amount of customers coming to the market by following these arrival recommendations based on age and your last name: 8 am to 9 am is for any customer 60 years or older, 9 am to 10 am is for customers whose last name begins with A through H, 10 am to 11 am is for customers whose last name begins with H through P, 11 am to 12 pm is for customers P through Z, and 12 pm to 1 pm is open for any customer that was prevented from coming during their designated time . There will be one entrance and one exit to the market for everyone’s safety and we will monitor the amount of people in the market at one time and attempt to keep 25 people or less in the market at any one time.
- We ask that you practice social distancing by keeping 6 feet between yourself and any other person.
- We also ask that you have your own supply of hand sanitizer to use in between vendor visits.
- We ask that in those cases that you have not pre-paid for items and do not use a credit card at the market, you are prepared with a wide variety of cash bills so that change from a vendor would not be necessary.
- Any items purchased at the market are meant for take home consumption.
We greatly thank our kind and loyal customers in advance for adhering to these necessary safety guidelines. In addition, for the public’s safety, our vendors will also be taking many precautions such as wearing gloves, retrieving items for you, having items prepackaged, providing hand sanitizer at their checkout stands, sanitizing hard surfaces at regular intervals, and providing as many touchless pay systems as possible. We are looking forward to the start of the market and enjoying our 45th year as the Doylestown Farmers Market! See you on May 2nd!
