Doylestown Fire Company Life Member Passes Away
Mark Hamilton, known to many fondly as Beach, passed away Tuesday, the fire company said.

A life member of Doylestown Fire Company No. 1 passed away this week after a "long and hard fought battle" with respiratory illness.
"Mark Hamilton, known to many fondly as Beach, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27," the fire company said Wednesday.
"Mark joined the company on June 8, 1977, and served as Firefighter, Lieutenant, 2nd Vice President, Fire Police officer, Relief Treasurer and Director, and most recently, Historian," Doylestown Fire Company No. 1 said via Facebook.

Hamilton was described as a dedicated husband and father who took "great care and pride in being a keep of the heritage and history of the area."
He had "encyclopedic knowledge" delivered with enthusiasm and will be sorely missed, according to the fire company's online tribute.
