DOYLESTOWN, PA — The final numbers are in. Despite a day with a forecast of intermittent showers and fewer attendees than hoped, the reintroduced Village Fair held on June 24 at Central Park in Doylestown raised $4,390.

“We wanted to start small, and I had hoped to raise $5,000, said Village Improvement Association (VIA) Board Member and event chair Carol Shugars, but we almost canceled the event due to the
poor weather forecast, so I am pleased.”

With a theme of “Neighbors Helping Neighbors,” the Village Fair brought together the local nonprofit community to raise funds for members of the community in need of assistance with rising food, utility, and housing costs. The afternoon featured live entertainment from local schools, a miniature donkey exhibit, a 9-hole disc golf tournament, food trucks, and a variety of game booths staffed by volunteers from participating nonprofit organizations.
