Doylestown Halloween Parade Set For Oct. 28

A free, family-friendly Halloween parade and costume contest for children and dogs will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28 in Doylestown.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A free, family-friendly Halloween parade and costume contest for children and dogs will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28 in Doylestown.

The Doylestown Spooktacular Parade, for children ages 2 through 10 and well-socialized dog, begins at the Bucks County Courthouse lawn and proceeds to E. State Street. It is organized by Discover Doylestown.

The costume contest begins at 11 a.m. Directly following the announcement of costume contest winners, the parade will proceed through town where families are invited to trick-or-treat.

The top three participants in each category of the costume contest will receive a prize. Categories include:

  • Best Kid Costume
  • Best Dog Costume
  • Best Family Costume

“Every year the event grows in popularity and the costumes get more creative. The effort put into the costumes for the kids—and the dogs too—is really amazing. This parade is just good fun for our residents, business owners, and visitors to town. We look forward to this family-friendly event each year,” said Nerice Kendter, event coordinator for Discover Doylestown.

Attendance is expected to be high, so pre-registration is highly recommended. Register by visiting DiscoverDoylestown.org. Registration will also be open the morning of the event beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Volunteers with the Central Bucks West Key Club will help with registration and check-in, and the Central Bucks West Photography Club will be taking pictures.

DJ Kevin Chase will be providing Halloween tunes and entertainment.
