The former Children’s Village, which operated on the hospital campus for 35 years, was destroyed by a tornado in August 2020. While no one was seriously injured, the building was damaged beyond repair.
Soon after, Doylestown Health announced that the rebuild would become a new priority of "One Vision: The Campaign for Doylestown Health." Thanks to the early support of lead donors and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program, the structure of the new facility is nearly complete.
Donations towards the initiative will help outfit the indoor and outdoor spaces with equipment and supplies that will best allow the village's teachers to build a safe, educational, and welcoming environment. A strategic array of priority needs will be funded through this project, including books, craft supplies, tricycles, classroom furnishings, outdoor playground equipment, and much more.
