DOYLESTOWN, PA — The community has responded to a June fundraising challenge for Doylestown Health, raising more than $3 million on top of a $2.5 million donation from the Woodall family.

Marv and Dee Ann Woodall, who have a long history of philanthropy and support of Doylestown Health, made the $2.5 million donation, and simultaneously challenged the community to double it.

"Donors across the community responded quickly, generously and enthusiastically to the challenge, adding another $3.15 million to the campaign," according to Beth Long, Doylestown Health's public relations coordinator.

The Woodall family made the donation to Doylestown Health's ONE VISION campaign. The campaign publicly launched just over one year ago, and will end in 2023, in time for Doylestown Health’s centennial anniversary. Campaign priorities include the Center for Heart and Vascular Care, the Center for Critical Care Medicine, and an Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, as well as Pine Run’s new Community Center - familiarly known as the “Hub.”

Approximately $57 million of the $75 million ONE VISION goal has been raised to date, according to Doylestown Health.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the community’s response,” Marv Woodall said. “Likewise, we are not surprised by the outpouring of generosity. This is a community that knows and appreciates high quality healthcare, whether through personal experience or news of the national recognitions for quality care that Doylestown Health earns.”

Many throughout the community – individual donors, local organizations, volunteers, physicians, and Associates of Doylestown Health – answered the challenge. Several events, including those hosted by Richard and Angela Clark and Alex and Pat Gorsky, co-chairs of the ONE VISION campaign, helped to raise awareness.

Construction is underway on the new, state-of-the-art Cardiovascular and Critical Care Pavilion on the Hospital’s flagship campus. Slated for completion later this year, the pavilion will house the new Woodall Center for Heart and Vascular Care, as well as the Clark Center for Critical Care Medicine.

As a comprehensive, world-class cardiovascular program, the Woodall Center for Heart and Vascular Care will continue to provide advanced care with seamless coordination, delivering routine and emergent cardiovascular treatment and prevention services with a personalized approach, the hospital said.
