“Doylestown Hospital is a proud supporter of breastfeeding with an 85 percent breastfeeding rate among new mothers," said Kathy Donahue, Doylestown Health’s director of Maternal-Child Services. "The support and education we provide to new nursing mothers is a priority to our Lactation Consultants. They are also available to support nursing mothers admitted to the hospital for surgical or medical reasons, and for those nursing mothers whose child is admitted to the hospital. We want all mothers who are nursing to feel confident and comfortable with breastfeeding when they go home with their newborn.”
