Doylestown Inks Deal To Bring More Live Concerts To Broad Commons Park
Under the agreement with the borough, Stage United will bring four concerts to the park on four Thursday evenings in May.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Doylestown Borough Council this week inked an agreement with Stage United and local concert promoter Joe Montone to expand the number of free outdoor concerts this spring at Broad Commons Park.
Building on last year's agreement, which brought two hugely successful concerts to the park in May, Montone will stage live concerts on four Thursday evenings in May. The free concerts will begin at 6 p.m. and continue until 10.
Stage United will again be managing all aspects of the productions, including lighting, staging, sound, marketing, setup, and take down.

In addition, they will assist in planning any additional features such as food and beverage vendors, interactive zones for children, artist and informational vendor tabling, and sponsor experience for the event.
"I am so excited to bring more free concerts to Broad Commons Park in partnership with Doylestown Borough," said Montone. "This is a gift back to our community, and an opportunity for all ages and backgrounds to experience captivating performances!"

According to the agreement with the borough signed last year, the goal of the concert events "is to activate Broad Commons Park as a unique gathering place while showcasing local food, artists, and vendors. Performing artists would all be located within the tri-state area, emphasizing Bucks County and Philadelphia."
The four-concert series will cost $45,000 to stage, which the borough and Stage United will raise through sponsorships and a 10 percent fee on sales levied on participating vendors. Stage United has also received a $4,350 grant from Visit Bucks County.
The first concert has already been fully funded through sponsorships from 2025 due to weather cancellations, according to the borough.
Last year's concert lineup brought the Indie rock band, Mo Lawda & The Humble, to Broad Commons Park. The May lineup also included Bucks County Deputy Sheriff Dave Woodard and his funk, blues, and rock band; Jarod Clemons & The Late Nights; and Fallon's Religion.
The series proved hugely successful, drawing large crowds of both young and old to the free events.
"By working together with Doylestown Borough, we are changing what is possible to present in our backyard," said Montone. "It's truly made possible by so many that live right here and believe in the community-building power of live music."
Since its founding in 2024, Stage United has impacted the region’s live music ecosystem by creating a fundraising model to produce both intimate performances and large-scale community concerts. In partnership with municipalities, local businesses, and arts organizations, Stage United is working to inspire audiences in Bucks County and beyond.
Montone, who organizes the nearby Abington Art Series, launched Stage United two years ago to create a more sustainable live music scene in his hometown of Doylestown by booking dynamic, diverse bills at new and exciting venues around town that bring the artists closer to the people.
Montone is also the idea man behind "Picnics On Pine," a summer series of outdoor concerts in Doylestown Borough, and more recently "A Night of Song," a concert series held inside the Big Room at the Tile Works.
Through Stage United, Montone is seeking to elevate the local music scene by providing greater access to live music in Doylestown and beyond.
