Doylestown Man Faces Felony Child Pornography Charges

The 47-year-old man has been charged with sharing and possessing child pornography.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A 47-year-old Doylestown man faces numerous felony charges for sharing and possessing child pornography.

Warrington Township Police have charged Thomas Joseph Plummer with possession of child pornography, child pornography (sexual abuse of children) and criminal use of a communication facility

On April 5, Bucks County Detectives and Warrington Township Police Department investigators began investigating two cyber tips submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Dropbox reported to NCMEC that 46 image and video files containing child pornography had been shared, uploaded, or downloaded to or from the account of one of its subscribers.

Google reported to NCMEC that three images and video files containing child pornography had also been shared, uploaded, or downloaded to or from the account of one of its subscribers.

Through an investigation police learned that Plummer is the subscriber to the two accounts. On May 3, police executed a search warrant on Plummer's home and several electronic devices were seized. A review of some of those items revealed additional video and image files containing child pornography, police said.

The analysis of the remainder of the electronic items is continuing.

Police said Plummer has a prior conviction for possession and dissemination of child porn.

He was subsequently charged and turned himself in to Warrington Township Police Investigators on May 10. He was processed and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Stacy Wertman and remanded to Bucks County Prison on $1,000,000 cash bail.

Assisting with the investigation was the Doylestown Township Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Bensalem Township Police Department, Hilltown Township Police
Department, and the FBI's Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory for their assistance in this investigation.
