Doylestown Man Sentenced For Huge Underage Drinking Party

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A Doylestown Township man has been sentenced to a year of probation for a "large underage drinking party" at his house last summer where alcohol was made available to as many as 80 juveniles. Brad Wexler, 64, must also complete 50 hours of community service for hosting the party, where police said teens were so intoxicated that some vomited and passed out.

When officers arrived to the party on Aug. 28 at Wexler's Windsor Way home, they found a teen boy passed out on a lounge chair outside with no one around.

An ambulance was dispatched and officers knocked on the door. Wexler answered, saying there was "no problem" and "no reason" to call the ambulance, police said. Police have since interviewed many juveniles who were at the party. Authorities believe as many as 80 teens were there and alcohol was available.

"Party goers were smoking marijuana in the basement to the point that the house was filled with smoke," police said.

One juvenile told police he was so intoxicated that he vomited.

Wexler was at home for the entire party and was seen walking around while the juveniles were consuming alcohol and smoking marijuana, police said.

Wexler was charged with endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors, and furnishing liquor to minors. On Tuesday, he entered a plea of no contest to the liquor charge and was subsequently sentenced.
