Doylestown Man Arrested On Robbery Charge In Plumstead
Man faces robbery, theft by unlawful taking or disposition, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief charges, police said.
PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — Andrew John Murray, 45, of Doylestown, was arrested May 30 by Plumstead Township Police for robbery and three other charges.
On May 26 at 1:20 p.m., police responded to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, they met with a 78 year old woman who reported that Murray physically removed her purse from her shoulder and stole her wallet.
Prior to that interaction, police said Murray was seen kicking the woman's car, which left a large dent in the vehicle. Murray fled the scene prior to the arrival of police. Officers subsequently obtained a criminal arrest warrant for Murray.
