Doylestown March For Science Is Saturday

Hundreds of Bucks County residents are expected to march in Doylestown in a show of solidarity with the March for Science in Washington.

Doylestown will join more than 425 communities nationwide this Saturday in hosting an Earth Day march, which is being held solidarity with the March for Science in Washington, D.C. Hundreds of Bucks County residents are expected to march in Doylestown, organizers say. The march begins at noon at State and Main streets.

“The March for Science champions robustly funded and publicly communicated science as a pillar of human
freedom and prosperity. We unite as a diverse, nonpartisan group to call for science that upholds the common
good and for political leaders and policymakers to enact evidence based policies in the public interest," according to an event announcement.

The Doylestown March for Science will go until 2 p.m. and will convene outside of the Starbucks in Doylestown Borough. There will be opening remarks, followed by a symbolic march to the county courthouse for speeches and a gathering.
