Doylestown Musician Passes Away at 30
Damien Nicholas DeRose of Doylestown passed peacefully on November 18 at the age of 30.

Damien Nicholas DeRose of Doylestown passed peacefully on November 18, 2015 at Temple University Hospital. He was 30 years old.
Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey he was the beloved son of Nicholas and Lynn D’Amico DeRose.

Damien was a well-respected Singer Songwriter under the name of “Peasant.” As a recording artist he was a member of The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. Starting off in 2003 at the age of 18 his first album, “Fear Not, Distant Lover,” was entirely home-recorded and self-released. Damien toured extensively in both Europe and the USA. Damien’s songs were featured on several network TV shows. As noted in a memorial article by WXPN, “His music struck an emotional chord with listeners: beautiful melodies set to affecting arrangements, lyrics of personal introspection and a voice that was delicate and captivating.”

A life gathering will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Aldie Mansion, 85 Old Dublin Pike, Doylestown.
