Doylestown Retailers Preparing for Small Business Saturday

Thousands of shoppers are expected to come to downtown Doylestown for the 5th Annual Small Business Saturday. Small Business Saturday is this Saturday, Nov. 29.

The annual event, started by American Express in 2010, recognizes independent, local businesses during the holiday shopping season.

The Discover Doylestown Committee has launched its campaign of “Sleep In, Shop Small - Discover Doylestown” for this year’s Small Business Saturday.

Shoppers are even encouraged to shop in their pajamas on Small Business Saturday, according to Discover Doylestown Committee.

“ It’s a way to reinforce that small businesses are more welcoming, cozy, and focused on giving a memorable shopping experience to their customers, as opposed to asking customers to shop at crack of dawn or earlier,” according to the committee.
