Doylestown Supervisor Candidates Pick Up Bi-Partisan Endorsements

DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Democrats Jennifer Herring and Judy Dixon, who are running for two open seats on the Doylestown Township Board of Supervisors, have picked up the bipartisan endorsement of a number of Bucks County political leaders, including incumbent Republican Board of Supervisors chairman Barbara Lyons and former U.S. Congressman Jim Greenwood.

The endorsements include:

• Steve Santarsiero, Pennsylvania State Senator (D-10). “I am proud to endorse Jen Herring and Judy Dixon for Doylestown Township Supervisors. Jen and Judy will work hard for everyone in the community. They know that at the local level it is all about listening and getting things done by working together, not dividing people. When it comes to supporting our police, preserving open space, fixing our roads, and being fiscally responsible, they are the right team for Doylestown, hands down.”

• Barbara Lyons, Chair, Doylestown Township Board of Supervisors (R). "I am proud to add my name to the many others who have endorsed Jen Herring for re-election to the Doylestown Township Board of Supervisors and the election of Judy Dixon, who I know will be a fine addition to the board.”

• Jim Greenwood, former Bucks County Congressman. “Over a period of 24 years, I had the honor of representing Doylestown Township in the State House, the State Senate, and in Congress. It was my experience that the best results came when elected officials put good policy ahead of partisan politics. Especially in today’s highly partisan times, citizens who come forward to serve their community at the local level will accomplish the greatest benefits for their neighbors when they serve in a spirit of bipartisanship. The Herring-Dixon campaign plans to announce additional endorsements later this week.

They are running against Republicans Patricia Murphy and Robert Caroselli in November's General Election for two open six-year seats on the board of supervisors. The seats are currently held by Herring, who is seeking re-election, and Republican Ryan Manion, who is not seeking re-election.
