Doylestown Tree Lighting Is Friday: What You Need To Know

Things will start looking very festive come Friday in Doylestown. Here are the details on the tree lighting and Santa parade:

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Thanksgiving is here, and with that comes the start of the holiday season.

In Doylestown, things will start looking very festive come Friday. That's when the 103rd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Santa Parade will be held.

The evening's festivities will kick off at 5 p.m. with musical performances by the Bucks County Gilbert & Sullivan Society and the Central Bucks West Choir at the Fountain House.

The Santa Parade, led by the Central Bucks West band, starts at the high school, then moves east on Court St before turning onto W. State St. Santa will arrive via fire truck to the tree at State and Main streets at 6:30 p.m.

This year, he will light the tree from the back of the Doylestown Fire Co's Ladder Truck, according to organizers. A Holiday Sing-A-Long which will follow the Tree Lighting. After, children can get a photo with Santa at his Cottage at State and Hamilton streets.

The forecast looks good as of mid week. The National Weather Service is predicting a sunny day Friday, with a high near 51. On Friday night it will stay clear and get down to the mid 30s.
