Doylestown Youth Fishing Program Starts April 4

The start of Doylestown Borough’s Youth Fishing Program is just a few weeks away.

The popular borough program will have its opening day event on Saturday, April 4 at 8 a.m. The event is free for children 16 and younger. The fishing program is held at the borough dam in Chapman Park.

There’s some work to do before that, though. A clean up day is scheduled for this Saturday, March 21 from 8 to 10 a.m. The rain day for the clean up day is Sunday. Volunteers are needed; call 215-345-4140 for details.

On Wednesday, April 1 at 11 a.m., the fish will be delivered. You can bring your children to help put the fish in the pond.

There will be a second stocking of fish on Wednesday, April 29 at 11 a.m.

There are two fishing days scheduled for seniors, the handicapped and veterans: May 2 and June 27 at 8 a.m. Rods and bait are provided if needed.

Donations are needed to keep the fishing program thriving. Donations can be sent to: Friends of the Borough Dam, Doylestown Borough Hall, 57 West Court St., Doylestown, PA 18901.
