It will be a few weeks before you can see the tree all lit up, though. The 104th Annual Tree Lightingevent will be held on Friday, Nov. 23. The lighting takes place at the plaza by the Starbucks in the borough.

Musical entertainment will start at 5 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. Santa will arrive on a fire truck to light the tree. Once he's done lighting the tree, children can visit him at his cottage at State and Hamilton.

Ahead of the festivities, Discover Doylestown is seeking some volunteers to put up holiday decorations around town. On Sat., Nov. 10 volunteers will meet at the borough Starbucks at 8:30 a.m.

Volunteers will work in pairs and will need a six-foot ladder. Volunteers who own ladders should bring one if possible. There will be some on hand the day of the decorating as well. You no longer need to bring your own tools to hang the snowflakes.
