Doylestown's Halloween Parade Canceled Due To Forecast
An impending Nor'easter storm has forced the cancelation of Saturday's "Spooktacular" Halloween parade in Doylestown.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — An impending Nor'easter storm has forced organizers of Doylestown's annual "Spooktacular" Halloween parade, which was scheduled for Saturday, to cancel the event.
Forecasters say a Nor'easter storm is on track to hit the region this weekend with heavy rains and whipping winds.
There is no rain date for the parade. Organizers tell Patch that the committee is already looking forward to making next's year's "Spooktacular" parade bigger and better.

The event is hosted by Discover Doylestown.
If it's any consolation, there is another fun holiday event happening soon in town to look forward to. Nov. 23 is the 104th Annual Tree Lighting event in Doylestown. The lighting takes place at the plaza by the Starbucks in the borough.

Musical entertainment will start at 5 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. Santa will arrive on a fire truck to light the tree. Once he's done lighting the tree, children can visit him at his cottage at State and Hamilton. Click here for details.
