Doylestown's Pumpkinfest is Saturday

Artists will create giant carved pumpkins during this Doylestown tradition, hosted by CB Cares and Bucks County Parks and Recreation.

A favorite local event that features giant carved pumpkins at a historic Doylestown site is just days away.

Pumpkinfest, which features area artists who carve out enormous pumpkins into glowing decorations that illuminate the archways of Moravian Tile Works, will be held Saturday.

The creations, carved in pumpkins ranging from 100 to 300 pounds, take artists as long as six hours to create. In addition to the gallery of huge pumpkins, there will be a food truck pavilion, live music, kids activities, a screening of ”Frankenweenie.”
