Doylestown's Tree Lighting Event Is Friday, Road Closures Planned
Santa comes to town Friday for the tree lighting. There are some road closures and parking restrictions planned for his arrival.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — On Friday, Nov. 23, Doylestown will celebrate the 104th annual Tree Lighting in the borough. Even before the celebration starts, residents can expect some road closures in preparation for the big event.
Here are street closures and parking restrictions planned ahead of the tree lighting and Santa's arrival:
There will be no parking from 3 p.m. to approximately 8 p.m. on the following streets on Friday, November 23:

- State Street from Pine to Hamilton
- North Main Street from State to Court
- East Court Street (North side) from Main to Broad
State and Main streets will be closed to traffic from approximately 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Musical entertainment will start at 5 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. Santa will arrive on a fire truck to light the tree. Once he's done lighting the tree, children can visit him at his cottage at State and Hamilton.

New this year there will be a Kids Zone on Main Street between State and Court.
A free shuttle service is available from the Bucks County Parking Garage from 5 to 7:30 pm.
