Driver Arrested After Crashing Into Police Car In Bucks County

The woman, police said, failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody following the crash.

PERKASIE, PA — A Telford women was taken into custody Sunday night after crashing into a Perkasie Borough Police SUV.

The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Arthur Avenue in the area of the Perkasie Library.

Police said a Volkswagen Tiguan operated by Cassidy Crawford, 29, of Telford, was traveling southbound on Arthur when her vehicle crossed over the lane of travel and collided with the Perkasie police car resulting in an offset head-on collision.

Police said Crawford was not injured in the crash. The officer sustained injuries and was transported to Grandview Hospital where he was treated and released.

The crash was investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police Dublin Barracks.

According to police, Crawford displayed signs of intoxication at the scene and failed field sobriety tests. She was taken into custody. Charges are pending against Crawford by the Pennsylvania State Police.
