DUI Arrests, Counterfeit Bill Passed: New Britain Twp. Police Report

Driver in parked car found to be using and in possession of narcotics, another driver cited for doing donuts in a parking lot.

NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — The New Britain Township Police Department reported the following incidents between June 1 and 30.

During this tour, patrol handled 26 traffic accidents, 29 alarm calls, 51 medical emergencies, 22 abandoned 911 calls, and 437 crime and traffic accident prevention directed patrols.

  • Officers responded to the New Britain Village Shopping Center for the report of a theft from the Fine Wine and Good Spirits. The actor used a counterfeit bill in exchange for merchandise. The offender was identified and a warrant was obtained for their arrest.

June 9

  • Patrol officers observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Wawa on West Butler Avenue and contacted the operator who was found to be using and in possession of narcotics. A summons was issued for the offender.

  • An officer observed a vehicle doing donuts in the AWeber parking lot on Manor Drive. The operator was identified and issued summary citations.

June 22

  • While on patrol, an officer observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of LukOil which was closed at the time. The officer recovered narcotics before the vehicle fled. Warrants were issued for two offenders.
  • Officers responded to the area of Callowhill Road and Myer Road for a single-vehicle traffic accident. The operator was found to be impaired and taken into custody for DUI.

June 27

  • Patrol made a vehicle stop in the area of Schoolhouse Road and Upper State Road in which the operator was found to be impaired and taken into custody for DUI.
